Brendan Baker
Founder & CEO · PawthosX Inc.
Brendan Baker is the founder and CEO of PawthosX and Co-Host of Unvetted. Before building veterinary technology, he spent years operating veterinary hospitals across general practice, urgent care, and rehabilitation. His work now sits at the intersection of veterinary medicine, technology, operations, and the systems shaping the profession. On Unvetted, Brendan brings an operator’s perspective to the conversations veterinary medicine usually avoids, sanitizes, or leaves unfinished.
01 Biography
Brendan Baker is the founder and CEO of PawthosX and the Co-Host of Unvetted, a show built around the conversations veterinary medicine needs to have more openly.
Before becoming a technology founder, Brendan spent years inside veterinary hospitals, managing teams and operations across general practice, urgent care, rehabilitation, and multi-site environments. That experience gave him a firsthand view of both what works in veterinary medicine and the unnecessary complexity, outdated systems, operational friction, and entrenched assumptions that continue to hold the profession back.
Today, he leads PawthosX, where his work focuses on rebuilding veterinary infrastructure around how modern hospitals actually operate rather than simply adding new features to old models. His broader interests include veterinary operations, technology, artificial intelligence, leadership, entrepreneurship, client experience, healthcare systems, and the economics of running veterinary practices.
Unvetted is an extension of that same curiosity. Brendan approaches conversations as an operator rather than a commentator: asking why things work the way they do, challenging ideas that have become accepted without enough scrutiny, and creating space for clinicians, technicians, founders, operators, researchers, and other voices to disagree productively.
The goal is not controversy for its own sake. It is better questions, more candid conversations, and a veterinary profession willing to examine where it is going next.
